Apple One, the all-in-one subscription service that combines Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple News+, Apple Fitness, Apple Arcade, and 4TB of iCloud storage for $29.95 per month, has finally launched after being announced earlier this year. Many people think that 2TB is the maximum iCloud Storage plan size, but actually, two iCloud plans can be stacked together to give you 4TB of storage with Apple One Premium.
Those of you with many Apple devices that store tons of data may be interested in getting the whopping 4TB of storage capacity to accommodate backups, photos, and more, especially if the 2TB is running out of storage space. And yes, you can access Apple One subscription on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Those of you with many Apple devices that store tons of data may be interested in getting the whopping 4TB of storage capacity to accommodate backups, photos, and more, especially if the 2TB is running out and you’re tired of wasting iCloud storage space. And yes, you can access it on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
iCloud Storage is currently $4TB in two parts, and you need to pay for the 2TB plan ($9.99) plus the Apple One Premier subscription ($29.99). Since this is a workaround, it remains to be seen how long this approach to obtaining 4TB will remain available, but presumably, Apple will eventually offer a 4TB iCloud data plan.
If you are using an iPhone or iPad, follow these steps:
- Tap on your name in the Settings app to access your iCloud settings
- Click on “Subscriptions”.
- In order to try Apple One, tap “Get Apple One”, then scroll down to “Premier,” which includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, 2TB of iCloud Storage, Apple News+, and Apple Workouts on the Apple Watch for $29.95/month.
Tap “Start Free Trial” to get one month free, followed by $29.95/month
Now you can get 2TB of iCloud storage with the Apple One Premier plan. This will stack on top of the 2TB iCloud Storage plan for a total of 4TB. You can upgrade iCloud Storage to 2TB so that you can stack it with Apple One and get a total of 4TB. To do so,
- Select Settings, then tap your name again to return to the iCloud setting
- Click on “iCloud” and then “Manage Storage”.
- Select 2TB under “Change Storage Plan”
- Confirm that you wish to purchase the 2TB plan
We obviously covered the above process by using iPhone or iPad, but you can also upgrade iCloud Storage plans from the Mac. Apple Mac accounts come with 5 GB of free iCloud storage. It is a relatively simple and straightforward procedure to upgrade to a higher-tier paid plan on macOS.
To upgrade the iCloud Storage Plan on your Mac, just follow these steps:
You can choose “System Preferences” from the Apple menu, or click on the “System Preferences” button in the Dock.
By clicking this, you will open the System Preferences window on your Mac. Make sure you’re logged into your Apple account. Otherwise, you can sign in right here. In the top-right corner, click on “Apple ID”.
Click “Manage” in the “iCloud” section on the left side of the screen, as shown in the screenshot below.
It is here where you can view which apps use your iCloud storage. Upgrade your plan by clicking “Buy More Storage.”
Depending on your preferences, you can choose from three paid plans. Click “Next” to proceed to the next step.
Please enter your Apple ID password and click “Buy” to confirm and complete your purchase.
It is important to note that this iCloud Storage is shared across all of your Apple devices. Consequently, if you own an iPhone or iPad, those devices will have access to more iCloud storage capacity too, and if you use certain iCloud services, your photos and other files will be automatically synced across all your devices.
The ability to stack the Apple One Premier 2TB subscription with the Apple 2TB iCloud plan remains to be seen, as this is a workaround. The fact that iPad Pro and iPhone device storage sizes are growing, and Mac storage capacity is also significant, makes it plausible to expect Apple to introduce a 4TB iCloud Storage data plan in the near future.
This is a bit of a workaround, so it remains to be seen how long it will take to stack the 2TB iCloud plan with the Apple One Premier 2TB plan. Considering that iPad Pro and iPhone storage sizes are getting larger, and Mac storage is also significant, it is possible Apple will introduce a 4TB iCloud Storage bundle soon.
