A trainee flight attendant from Vejalpur was allegedly drugged and raped a 22-year-old engineering student she met via Instagram.
She filed a complaint on Thursday, September 3, against the accused, Ajit Trivedi, whom she had come in contact with seven months ago through Instagram.
The two bonded as they chatted on the social media platform. Later, they exchanged their phone number and planned to meet.
She alleged that he raped her after offering her a cold drink spiked with sedatives. She also accused him of video graphing her while raping and then using that later to rape her multiple times.
She told the police that she had invited Trivedi to her house in April. When she offered him cold drinks, she alleged him of spiking her dring with some sedatives that made her unconscious.
“She said that she fell unconscious after consuming the beverage, and the accused raped her. She also alleged that he shot the entire act on his cellphone, which he later used to rape her often,” said a police officer in a national daily, Times of India.
It was also reported that Trivedi used to physically abuse her when she did not meet his demands.
