A landslide victory of Boris Johnson was the clear indication of Britain’s exit from EU and now the final victory of Mr Johnson in the house put the final seal on the Brexit with the decision to exit from European Union by 31st January 2020 and with the exit of Britain from European Union, an Era of free movement from the UK to other European Union will come to an End?

The process of Brexit which began a couple of years back has finally come to an end with Prime Minister Boris Johnson winning the approval of the house to exit from European Union. According to the report, Prime Minister Boris Johnson won approval for his Brexit deal in parliament on Friday, the first step towards fulfilling his election pledge to deliver Britain’s departure from the European Union by Jan. 31 after his landslide victory.

According to the reports, the House voted for the Brexit with 358 in favour while 234 against it, this also indicates that nearly half of the Parliament is still not in favour of Brexit, but underlining Johnson’s large majority in parliament that should ensure a smooth ratification of the divorce deal to implement Britain’s biggest policy shift in more than 40 years.

The referendum which was passed in 2016 to exit from the EU is now come to end with the final line drawn this time reducing the prevailing uncertainty over the issue. In the month of January, Great Britain will exit from the European Union paving the way to progressive development in the coming year.

Getting “the Brexit vote wrapped up for Christmas” was the main aim for Johnson showing that, unlike his predecessor Theresa May who was thwarted in parliament, he now has free reign to drive Brexit forward despite continued criticism from opposition lawmakers.

“This is the time when we move on and discard the old labels of ‘leave’ and ‘remain’ … now is the time to act together as one reinvigorated nation, one United Kingdom,” Johnson told parliament before the vote adding “Now is the moment to come together and write a new and exciting chapter in our national story, to forge a new partnership with our European friends, to stand tall in the world, to begin the healing for which the whole people of this country yearn.”

The Ratification process will commence after the Christmas wherein the lower house will approve the legislation and giving it time three weeks to get it passed through the upper house and taking final consent of the Queen. Meanwhile, the European Commission said it was ready to take formal steps to adopt the deal on its side too.

After the separation, everything will change the trade ties will be renewed with EU with new trading agreements with non-alignment to bloc’s rules. While Johnson has the support of his 365 Conservative lawmakers in the 650-seat lower house, some opposition members criticised him for removing the opportunity for parliament to have oversight over his negotiating priorities in the next phase of talks, and for getting rid of workers’ protections.

Meanwhile, the opposition Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn described it as “terrible”. “This deal does not bring certainty for communities or for business or for the workforce, in fact, it does the opposite and hardwires the risk of a no-deal Brexit next year,” he said.

Prime Minister Johnson had made Brexit is one his main agenda and the landslide victory of the conservative party paved the way to his ambitions keeping the Brexit at the top of his agenda to repay the trust of voters. Hoping to satisfy the demands of voters in northern and central England who broke their tradition of backing the Labour Party to support him, he has also pledged more funding to the state health service, education and policing.

“Today we will deliver on the promise we made to the people and get the Brexit vote wrapped up for Christmas,” he said in comments before the vote. “Next year will be a great year for our country.”
