THIS IS A STORY OF 19-YEAR-OLD LAD FROM DELHI, WHO WAS ON HIS WAY BACK IN HIS LUXURIOUS MERCEDES BENZ, FROM A PUB IN CONNAUGHT PLACE DELHI, AND IN THE BARGAIN TO SKIP THE EYES OF COPS HE RAMMED INTO THE MARUTI SWIFT CAR ON THE ROAD SERIOUSLY INJURING ONE…

Many of us try to avoid the traffic cops for various reasons one day or the other but, this is the most strange case wherein the driver had met with an accident while avoiding the cops. In this case, a 19-year-old drunk youth rammed his Mercedes Benz car into a Maruti SWIFT vehicle while trying to avoid cops at a traffic check post on Saturday in Delhi.

According to the reports, On August 11, 2017, when Dhruv Bagla, was returning home from the pub in his C-Class Mercedes Benz from Connaught Place around 11 pm on August 11 he rammed his car into another car on the road. The cops confirmed that he was under the influence of an Alcohol.   

Bagla, who was accompanied friend Karan Jain, and he was driving home when the team of traffic police officials signaled the car to stop at a Checkpost. A policeman deployed at the checkpoint said that the car initially slowed down before speeding away from the checkpoint.

THE MERCEDES CAR HALTED ON THE PAVEMENT AFTER HITTING THE MARUTI SWIFT

The driver of the C-Class tried to jump a red light barely 100 meters from the check post when he rammed into a Maruti SWIFT Swift. Following a collision, the Mercedes ran onto the pavement and hit a signboard before coming to a halt.

The two men in the Mercedes-Benz escaped without sustaining any injuries due to the deployment of the airbags on time, but the driver of a Swift car who is a former director general of Tihar jail suffered serious injuries but is currently said to be out of danger.

The DCP of the area reported that a case has been registered against Bagla following which he was arrested but later released on bail. Medical tests confirmed that both the occupants of the Mercedes were drunk at the time of the incident. Bagla is said to be the son of a car dealer who studies at a private university in the NCR region.
