Buying gadgets online has become the fashion in our country. In fact, India is supposed to be the biggest marketplace for the online shopping portals and hence the multinationals are entering this country. The entry of Amazon and Alibaba confirms the above statement. But do you know that buying stuff online many times works out to be a risky business? Read this report.

According to the video posted by one of the consumers of Flipkart who ordered the iPhone 7 is going viral on the social media and the guy claims that he received the Patanjali soap from the vendor instead of iPhone 7 packed in the box for which he paid whopping 57,000 rupees.

According to this guy called Praful who took the social media by storm by making the straight  allegation on the online giant Flipkart stating that “Now Flipkart selling Illegally Patanjali Products and hence they packed the Patanjali soap instead of iPhone 7 and sent it to me.”

According to Praful he had ordered the iPhone 7 from Flipkart on 25th April and received his order by courier on 28th of April. “The product was delivered to my office on 28th April,” said Praful adding that “When I opened the boxI got the shock of my life. Instead of iPhone 7, I discovered the Patanjali brand soap in the box. besides this, there is nothing in the box, no accessories.”

THE BILL OF 57 THOUSAND RUPEES FOR WHICH PRAFUL MADE THE ADVANCE PAYMENTS

Praful Immediately called the customer care number and informed them about the receipt of the soap instead of iPhone 7 for Rs. 57,000. “I requested them to take the matter seriously since I paid the money for the iPhone 7 and I received the Patanjali soap. besides verbally informing them about the same and I also emailed them my complaint but they are only saying that ‘we will get back to you within 12 working days’.

According to Praful, he placed the order with Flipkart since there was a big discount going on. “I went with the flow thinking that will save around 10 to 12 thousand rupees and placed the order online,” he said. Praful said that this is his first experience with the Flipkart and that too worked out to be a disaster.

Praful says that he would like to give the Flipkart a five star but in the cheating and fraud case. “I would like to advise the people who book their products online to be extra careful and especially with the Flipkart. I have also lodged the police complaint with the police in this regards and I will pursue this matter until I get my money back,” he said.

The above case could be the eye-opener for many and there is a need of changing the way online companies operate in India. There is no facility to check the product at the time of delivery by the courier man and even if you check after paying in front of him they do not take the product back this way you pay for the product and still wait for the replacement. In many cases, the matter reaches to the consumer courts and takes years to settle down.
