THIS IS THE STORY OF RESHAM KHAN, WHO SURVIVED THE FATAL ACID ATTACK AND MIRACULOUSLY RECOVERED FROM THE SAME. IT WAS NOT AN EASY TASK FOR HER BUT, WILL POWER AND HER DOCTOR’S EFFORTS BROUGHT HER BEAUTIFUL FACE BACK. ACID ATTACKS ON GIRLS ARE VERY COMMON THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. THE REJECTIONS MAKES SOME MEN FEEL INSECURE AND THEY RESORT TO SUCH AWFUL ACTIVITIES. THE GIRLS ARE NOT SAFE ANYWHERE, AND THEY EITHER HAVE TO FACE RAPE OR ACID ATTACKS. HERE IN THIS CASE RESHAM, WHO CAME OUT AS WINNER FROM THIS ATTACK. WE ARE SURE THAT HER MOTIVATIONAL STORY WILL GIVE SOME RELIEF THOSE WHO HAVE FACED SIMILAR FATE…..
According to the sources, on June 21, Resham Khan, a business management student, was attacked with sulphuric acid on her 21st birthday while she was on a morning drive in London with her 37-year-old cousin Jameel Mukhtar.
As they were waiting in their car at traffic lights in Beckton, the attacker, 25-year-old, John Tomlin threw acid at them. As they tried to escape, their car crashed into a fence, Khan had described how she saw her clothes burning as she and her cousin shouted for help before they were driven to the hospital.
While Mukhtar was put into an induced coma, Khan was given a skin graft. Mukhtar is now reportedly awake and slowly recovering. This Eid, September 2, Kahn shared her first pictures after recovering from the attack.
She quoted on her blog “I can’t change what has happened to me and I can’t fix anything. I refuse to dwell, and all I can do is hope for justice. The only thing I can do is help to make a difference”.
Khan’s classmate, Daniel Mann, took to the website Go Fund Me to raise money for her treatment. He wrote, “They ran out of the car, stripped off on the motorway, ran around flagging people down pleading for water naked. After 45 minutes on the motorway waiting for emergency services, a passing driver gave them a lift to the local hospital. They ran through the hospital naked screaming,” quoted the sources.
Khan said her mental state was “up and down” and physically she was dealing with scars and spots of burns. The acid attack left her skin so tight that she was unable to close her eyes and open her mouth properly, she added

But since the attack, Khan has been encouraged to look at the bigger picture. “If everything happens for a reason, then surely one of the reasons this happened to me was so that I could take this opportunity to make sure something positive came from such a traumatic and vicious attack,” she wrote.
This is truly inspiring to those suffering the same, and for those have been subjected to hate, betrayal a story that will help you overcome your difficulties and see the good in the world. What do you think should be done to prevent such tragedies? Leave your valuable comment.
