IT IS NOT EXACTLY GOA BUT, SAWANTWADI, WHERE THIS YOUTH FROM CHANDIGARH SUPPOSE TO HAVE COMMITTED SUICIDE BUT, THE MATTER IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION AND THE POSSIBILITY OF FOUL PLAY CANNOT BE RULED OUT. THE STORY HAS APPEARED IN THE NATIONAL, AS WELL AS, LOCAL MEDIA BUT WHO IS THIS JAZZINDER SINGH, AND WHY HE HAD TO TRAVEL ALL THE WAY TO GOA TO COMMIT SUICIDE? THE TIME MAIL TEAM HAS DONE LITTLE BIT OF RESEARCH ON IT AND HERE IS THE OUTCOME OF THE SAME…
According to the reports, the police was hunting for a victim Jazzinder Singh Garry for an alleged abduction of an assistant professor of GNDU (Guru Nanak Dev University) whose body was finally recovered by the police from Goa after 11 long days of search.
Jazzinder Singh Garry committed suicide, and police don’t know the reason behind it as yet but, based on the suicide note recovered from the room where the body of Garry was found, says that he is innocent. “I am innocent, please inform my parents,” wrote Garry in his suicide note written on the wall of his room in the rest house, said deputy commissioner police, Lakhbir Singh while talking to TOI on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the story of Ms. Sukhpreet Kaur Brar, an assistant professor GNDU, is more surprising, as she left her hostel with the note behind saying that she is going to meet Garry and if she does not come back he should be held responsible for it. “I am going to meet Jazzinder Singh Virk alias Garry at Subway or Chocolate Home in the university market. He is from Kharar and resides in street No 2 of Dashmesh Nagar on the Jhuggian road. (The names of Virk’s parents and their telephone numbers are also mentioned). He has to return the money which he had borrowed from me. If anything happens to me, he should be held responsible.” (Source)
According to the records, Sukhpreet allegedly went to meet Garry on 11th September but the report of her missing was filed in the police on 14th September. The reason behind the delay is not yet known, but the suicide of Garry in the hotel room near Goa with the latter saying “I am innocent” tells the completely different story. The question here is, why did the relatives of the abducted girl wait for two days to lodge the complaint with the police? and why Garry had to travel all the way to Goa to commit suicide, and where is Sukhpreet at the moment?
According to the reports, the letter written by the Sukhpreet tells that Garry had borrowed the money from her, and she went to meet him to recover the same, and the suicide note written by the Garry says that he is innocent. Now the police are confused as the alleged kidnapper is no more and victim girl is also not traceable.
The police report claim that the car of Garry was found around 3km away from the place where he had committed suicide by hanging himself on the roof of the guest house. Since the body was found in the guest house situated on Mumbai – Goa highway near Goa but, it falls under the jurisdiction of Sawantwadi police station, the Maharashtra police is handling the came and the body was sent for the post-mortem, by Sawantwadi police, said the sources.
The mystery surrounded to this case will get solved once the police manage to trace the GNDU assistant professor who is allegedly kidnapped by the deceased. The five-member police team from Chandigarh had reached near Goa tracing the Sukhpreet on the route that was taken by Garry to commit suicide, said the sources.
The kidnap of Sukhpreet has been captured with the help of CCTV footage in all the locations she went as mentioned by her in the note she left behind before going to meet Garry. The police team told the media that they have traced the location of Sukhpreet’s mobile in Chandigarh and very soon are going to crack this case. Meanwhile, Sukhpreet’s father alleged that he had received a call from her daughter’s number. The caller demanded a ransom of Rs 3 lakh. The police have registered a case under Section 365 (kidnapping) of the IPC.
“It is a blind case for us now. We are absolutely clueless about the whereabouts of the victim,” said the police adding that why did the victim accompany the accused, with consent, if she suspected life threat?
The story that started on 11th with the note of Sukhpreet ended with the suicide note of a Garry. Both the notes tell different tales. We will keep you updated as it happens. What is your opinion on this? Do you think that Garry has kidnapped Sukhpreet? If yes, then why he commit suicide? and Where is Sukhpreet? The police don’t have the answers to this, if you have any information, please do share with us here…
