How easy it is to believe that such a thing is not difficult in today’s standard and it really happens. According to the sources, a businessman from Gurgaon offered the most lucrative proposition for Valentine’s Day on Facebook and received 2000 plus proposals from the girls willing to become his Valentine. Needless to say that this offer was completely based on the material things and not on the love and fondness on which the foundation of Valentine’s day is supposed to be based on. However, the post is no longer available now, because of the mixed reactions it received on social media.

Although the post on Facebook had received a very good response from the 2000 plus aspired girls to the Valentine of the person who posted it on the Facebook, it also received lots of criticism from the FB members, said the sources. You may not find the post on FB anymore but the following article and images in this post will serve as self-explanatory.

According to the post published on the national daily The Indian Express, everybody look out for a date to go out with on Valentine’s Day, but one would think it would be based on love and fondness. But what if you find yourself single and feel the pressure to be out on a date? Well, if you have money then your are sorted, at least that’s what this story might make you believe.

A Gurgaon “entrepreneur” tried to crowdsource dates on Facebook, and yes it worked!. Simply because of ‘good marketing strategy’ free gifts and perks. Yes, the man identified as Shakul Gupta announced on social media that the lucky girls would get a ride in his Audi A4 car, a brand new iPhone 7, dinner at Gurgaon’s Oberoi hotel and on an emotional level some “memorable moments”.

THE BILL OF FIVE STAR HOTEL POSTED BY GUPTA ON SOCIAL MEDIA (SOURCE)

According to the sources, Shakul Gupta put out a Facebook post on February 11 saying, “Who want to be my Valentine?” Surprisingly, he received an overwhelming response from over 2,000 applicants. Going through so many applications was indeed a herculean task, and as it took so much time that the date finally happened a few days after the V-day. Gupta picked “best five” among them and as promised took them on a date at the hotel and informed on February 17 that he had pulled the task off. He even shared a few pictures of the ladies enjoying the meal. When many users had doubts about his ‘achievement’, he posted picture of the bill amounting to over Rs. 30,000.

SOME OF THE COMMENTS ON THE POST OF GUPTA (SOURCE)

According to the sources, an unusual Facebook post received over 15,000 likes and was shared over 500 times. However, the post is no longer available now. While many were surprised by the promises and showing off of wealth, others were aghast. This incident is very unique on its own and the most important thing here is, it really worked and there is a strong possibility that this trend might be repeated by many wealthy people on such occasions. The point of discussion here would be, was it right or wrong, but regardless of that, one cannot deny the fact that it worked and that too without any kind of pressure.
